I had to do my eye makeup first so it’s easier to manage any mistakes or fallouts, especially that I used dark shades on this one.

EYES

I applied NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in 601 Black Bean on my lids as my base. I used a black base to help build up that strong & dark colour eye colour. Next, I applied SUEDE (Huda Rose Gold Edition Palette) on the entire lid and a little over the crease. Using a small tapered brush, I picked up SHAX (Kat Von D Shade & Light Eye Palette) and applied it on the outer V up to the middle part of the eyes. Then, I dabbed my finger on 105DC ORION (Natasha Denona Star Palette) and applied in on the space of my lids. You can also spray some MAC Fix + on your brush or finger before you dab it on the duo-chrome eyeshadow for a more wowza! effect.😉

I don’t have any gel liner so instead, I used Stila’s All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Jet Black for my upper lash line.

I used NARS Larger Than Life Eyeliner in Via Venetto on my waterline and applied what’s left on the brush when I applied SHAX (Kat Von D Shade & Light Eye Palette) earlier. Using the same brush, I also applied 105DC ORION (Natasha Denona Star Palette) on the entire waterline to balance the look. For the inner corners, I used a small brush and dipped it on NARS Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow in DIONE. Finally, with MAC 217, I blended all the shades for a seamless look.

For my lashes, I used It Cosmetics’ Superhero Mascara.

Brows

I did thicker brows for this look and started by brushing the Benefit Gimme Brow Volumizing Eyebrow Gel on my brows. Then, I used Benefit’s Precisely, My Brow pencil to outline & shape them followed by Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade in Medium Brown to fill in the gaps. For final touches, I used Anastasia Brow Wiz (Medium Brown).

Since we are doing a dark eye makeup, it is important to keep the rest of the face clean. Apply your moisturiser and of course, I used my favourite SIMPLE’s Kind to Skin Light Moisturiser followed by Guerlain’s L’Or Radiance Concentrate with Pure Gold.

What I love about smokey eye look is that I don’t have to worry about dark circles!😀 For light colour correction, I used BECCA’s Under Eye Brightening Corrector and MUFE’s Cream Camouflage (Green) for the redness.

Face

For this look, I mixed my Makeup Forever Ultra HD  Foundation (Y225) & Urban Decay One & Done (Medium Light). It’s my favourite foundation concoction because it offers more coverage without looking heavy.  As for my concealer, I used It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer and to set my face, I used Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder.

Contour & Highlight

I used SUBCONSCIOUS and LEVITATION from Kat Von D Shade & Light palette followed by Benefit’s Hoola bronzer.

On my cheeks, I combined NARS blush in Dolce Vita & Tom Ford’s Ravish. To finish my look I used Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Skin-Perfecting Micro-Powder.

Lips

I wore Jeffree Star’ liquid lipstick in MANNEQUIN with Jouer’s Skinny Dip as my lip topper.

And finally, I sprayed Urban Decay’s All-Nighter Makeup Setting Spray.

FINAL LOOK:

Now whenever we do our makeup it is ideal to only highlight one feature of the face. So it’s either bold eyes or bold lips. But again, makeup is just makeup and we can wipe it off anytime and with that,  I tried to use 2 bold lip colours to match my eye makeup.

Variation #2: Grungy Rock Chic

Using a brown matte lipstick, this ended up to be a very bold look and strong look.

Variation #3: Glammed Gothica

If this black lipstick won’t convince you that this is a boldest in this bunch, I don’t know what will. Wearing Jeffree Star’s Liquid Lipstick in WEIRDO.
