Best Lip Liner/s

1. NYX Lip Liners

I have been using them for 3 years now and it is on top of my list because they are:

1. pigmented
2. long lasting; you can actually wear them alone like what I do with 808 Deep Purple and
3. they are affordable.

Recently, they introduced the new retractable lip liners which are 5 SGD more than their regular lip liner (7+ SGD) but these new lip liners are more creamy and buttery in texture. And because they are retractable, you do not need to sharpen the end.

Best Lipstick (Bullet)

1. Bésame Classic Color Lipstick

This is by far, the BEST lipstick formula that I have ever tried. You can check out the 4 reviews that I did for this brand and I love them all.

Best Liquid Lipstick

2015 is also the year of liquid matte lipstick and now, since the majority of the brands in the market are offering their versions of liquid matte lipsticks you have a lot to choose from. But as a matte lipstick lover like myself, I can be critical as I have my set of standards for my liquid lipsticks. Though it is given that this type of lipstick is drying, but still they should be:

1. Flat matte – no shine at all.
2. Velvety-feel on the lips
3. Does not feel thick or heavy
4. Opaque 
5. Does not budge, bleed or smudge even if I eat or drink.  OR if it does at least 
6. t won’t turn to be powdery as soon as they come off the lips.
7. Lastly, it won’t leave my lips dry for the next days. (Oh, believe me, I have tried some matte lipsticks that are like this)

1. Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick

My very first matte liquid lipstick was Red Velvet from Lime Crime and yes, I like it. In fact, I was so happy with it because the effect on my lips is very different from that of MAC’s Ruby Woo. But after I tried and tested my very first pair of JS liquid lipstick – Redrum and Anna Nicole, my choice has changed.  I still like Lime Crime and they offer some of the best and boldest colours, though.

2. Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick

Her brand offers an array of colours to choose from but with her collection, I found some of the prettiest and flattering shades that I never thought I can wear comfortably for a matte liquid lipstick.

I have yet to release another batch of my review for this brand and they have been in my draft folder for quite some time already, so please watch out for it. At the meantime, you can check the 5 shades that I reviewed for this brand:

Best Lip Crayon

Best Lip Gloss

Okay, so I am not a big fan of lip gloss and I only use them if I am wearing nude shades. But even so, I still have my personal favorites and they are:

1. Tom Ford Ultra Shine Lip Gloss

3. NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss

This is one the best and most affordable lip gloss that I have tried. The best because my lips didn’t look like I just hit a pan that was covered with oil.

My favourite shade is Natural and I am wearing it in the photo below. It is pigmented that you can even wear it alone or on top of another lipstick.

Best Lip Balm

Burt Bee’s Beeswax Lip Balm

I am currently on my 2nd tube of this product and as I mentioned in my recent post on EOS lip balm article, they used to be my no. 1 but the 3 balms that I have now are just too drying. I also tried the Mentholatum’s Lip Balm but nothing works like Burt Bee’s in keeping my lips soft, especially after I used a matte lipstick.

Best Lip Scrub

Jeffree Star Lip Scrub

It’s sweet, edible and keeps my lip smooth. I use it every night because yes, we should not neglect our lips. They need some TLC, too.

There you have it! My share for 2015’s Best Lip Products that I personally liked and loved. I know that majority of my reviews covered matte lipsticks but that is one of the challenges  that I wish to face this 2016 – I want to discover, try and test more lip products; I want to explore other lipstick finishes such as sheer / satin / creme sheen so I can share and recommend them to you.
