Last August, my yoga practice turned one year and I can’t get enough of it changed me as a person, my life & well-being. I reaped the benefits of practicing, which is a lot, and it was so good that it became part of my daily routine.
I DO YOGA…
…in the morning. With my coffee.
…as part of my workout routine (warmup/cooldown);
…when I’m emotionally vulnerable or when I’m in pain (physically or emotionally) because of stress;
…when I need to free my mind;
…when I need to calm down or when I’m overwhelmed.
…before I go to sleep.
But I didn’t do yoga to lose weight..
I intend each practice for balance, mobility, vitality, increased flexibility and muscle strength. It’s been a year, but I still can’t do a proper chaturanga or headstand. I do modified chaturanga, tho. And headstands…I’m not sure if it’s for me. But that’s okay.. because yoga is not a competition or a show. It’s a journey and perfection is not th destination or the final prize. Inner peace is.
