Charlotte Tilbury Makeup Review

Let’s talk about Charlotte Tilbury’s blush, bronzer and highlighter. ;)

PACKAGING

Every makeup comes in a deep burgundy box with rose-gold imprints. The look and feel of each box give you a luxe feeling and leaves you excited to find out more of what is inside.

Charlotte Tilbury Haul

1. Cheek to Chic Swish & Pop Blusher – Love is the Drug

Your cheeks should GLOW with the flush of first love everyday.

Cheek to Chic - Love is the drug blush

The compact carries 8 grams worth of product. Notice the 2 colours in the pan? According to the instructions written at the back of the box you should:

a. SWISH the brush around outer shade and apply in on top of your cheekbones then,

b. DIP the tip of the brush in the center colour and pop onto the apples of the cheeks.

If you are applying it for the first time, make sure to use a light hand. The blush is so pigmented that a little dip of the brush will be enough.

PROs:

  • Luxe product design
    • Lightweight and thin so it won’t take much space in your vanity kit.
    • The design of the compact reminds me of those vintage makeup containers that we can only see in movies.
  • Highly pigmented.
  • Long Lasting.
  • Light on the face.
  • Easy to use.
  • Available in 6 shades and you can check it out here.
  • Product Life
    • There is an indication on how long you can use and keep the product and it can be found at the back of the compact & box. (30 months)
  • Paraben-free.
  • Made in Italy.

CONs:

  • The product is not locally available.

Price*

  • UK – 30 GBP / US – 40 USD (shipping fee not included)
  • I bought this for 66 SGD from my trusted local online seller thru Carousell (PingBong).
    • The price is still lower compared to Tom Ford’s blushes which are priced at around 80 ++ SGD.

2. Film Star Bronze & Glow (Light to Medium)

Charlotte Tilbury Film Star Bronze & Glow Review

I believe that amongst the Charlotte Tilbury line, the Filmstar Bronze & Glow was the most raved by ladies around the world. With a promise to achieve that sculpt and highlight that we only see from the Hollywood stars, the Filmstar Bronze & Glow has been considered one of the best things that happened in the makeup world. (Or at least that’s how I see it.)

The pan holds a total of 16 grams worth of product (we can assume that it is 8 grams each).

PROs:

  • Beautiful and luxe packaging.

  • The texture was not powdery and this is something that I love about it because I always perspire (hello humidity?!)
  • The bronzer gives off a nice color – not too brown and not too orange.

  • The highlighter gives off that lovely, healthy glow that doesn’t look too much. And once the light bounces on your face, oh you will feel like one of those VS angels on the runway! :P

  • Blends well (together) and with the Cheek to Chic blush on.
  • Pigmented.
  • Long lasting.
    • The bronze and glow lasted for 8 to 9 hours on my face and although at some point I was sweating, the bronzer and highlight did not bulge not felt sticky/muddy.
  • Light on the face.
  • Easy to use.
  • Also available in Medium to Dark tone.
  • Product Life
    • There is an indication on how long you can use and keep the product and it can be found at the back of the compact & box. (30 months)
  • Paraben-free.
  • Made in Italy.

CONs:

  • The product is not locally available.

Price*

  • 66 SGD 107 SGD thru Carousell (PingBong).
  • 49 GBP (UK) (shipping fee not included
  • 68 USD (shipping fee not included)

*UK & US prices are based from Charlotte Tilbury’s website.

OVERALL IMPRESSION/S:

These two products did not fail to impress and deliver the quality that was expected from the beginning. This is also the reason why I did not include the price in the disadvantage/cons list because I feel that the quality of the product stood out and the price was justified.

Also with the quantity of the product, even if you use them daily, it will take you some time to hit the pan and buy a new one. So if you will ask me if it is worth it? My answer is a big YES. ;)

Additional Notes:

What is the difference between Filmstar Bronze & Glow AND Filmstar KILLER Cheekbones?

Answer:

The brush. The former is only the bronzer and highlighter while the latter comes with the Powder & Sculpt Brush.
