OVERALL
I’ve spent a day with this collection and although I understand that a day is not enough to discover the full potential of each product, I can safely and surely share my views on this collection.
The Eyeshadow Palette.
I enjoy the peachy pink and coral shades included in this palette and it’s truly a “sweet” touch to have these colours in your basic collection. The soft hues are great for those who wants a light and dainty eye makeup. I like that the eyeshadows are easy to blend and the shades in this palette complement each other.
Despite all these, I find the palette to be OKAY. I mean, I wasn’t blown away by the formula the way my 2 Anastasia Beverly Hills (Mario Palette & Modern Renaissance) palettes did to me.
The Highlighting Palette.
If I were to describe the illuminator, blush and bronzer in this palette, the word that I’ll pick would be SUBTLE. Yep.
Subtle can be good or not-so-great, depending on your preference.
GOOD, if you want something that looks very natural but if you have a medium or deeper skin tone, this may not be for you. I had to apply them for at least 3 times so the blush /highlighter/bronzer will appear on my photos.
- Love the blush
- Like the bronzer
- Least favourite is the highlighter
The Lip Gloss.
Aside from the fact that I’m not a fan of lip gloss, I find this to have a semi-opaque finish. It’s a good one, actually because it wasn’t sticky nor heavy on the lips, plus I love the light pink colour of the shade that I chose (Peach, Please).
However, I find that it shows my lip lines especially when you are using it alone and that’s not flattering at all. On the photos, I used a lip liner and applied the Peach, Please on top. As for the lasting power, I wore it for 2 hours and it was totally gone after having dinner.
Lastly,
after using these, I realised that I’m not really a fan of peaches. I seriously don’t like the smell and this is something that I’ve been mentioning in my previous posts – I prefer my makeup to be scent-free. Thankfully, the scent goes away after a few minutes of wear.
To end my review, I’m giving this collection a rating of 3.5 stars. Full details of the featured makeup look will be posted soon!
